Phade is a social sports picks platform. You and your friends predict the outcomes of real games (NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, college football, and college basketball) and compete on a leaderboard. No money changes hands through Phade. If your group plays for stakes, that's between you and them.

Yes. The iOS app runs on iPhone and iPad, the Android app runs on phones and tablets, and the web app works in any modern browser. On a tablet, Phade uses the wider layout you see on a desktop, and it keeps working in Split View on iPad. Your picks, leagues, and notification settings live in your account, so switching devices never loses anything.

No. Phade does not process money, accept deposits, or pay out winnings. The platform tracks picks, results, and standings only. Any buy-ins or payouts your league chooses to run are handled offline by your group.

On first sign-in you'll be prompted for a display name and a unique handle (username). You can edit these later from your profile page. Your handle is what appears in standings and mentions.

18+. We confirm age at sign-up, and existing users are asked to re-confirm when the minimum age changes. Phade is for casual, social play only. No real money is wagered, deposited, or paid out on the platform.

Yes. Leagues are entirely optional. If you just want a private picks tracker for yourself, head to Create Contest and create a standalone contest with Visibility set to Private. It stays out of the public listings and works as a personal contest of one.

You'll still get the full experience: picks against real lines, win/loss tracking, ROI and streaks on your analytics page, and achievements as your record grows.

A league is a long-term group of people. A contestis a time-bound competition with a specific set of sports, bet types, and date range. Leagues can host many contests over time. A contest can also live on its own with no league at all, public or private, which is what you'd do for solo or one-off play.

Your Contests shows up to four open contests you are in (View All for the rest) with your rank, your record, and what locks next (the next kickoff for that contest), plus a warning when you have no picks on upcoming games. Your leagues sit above it; pools and the activity feed from people you follow come after.

A league is a group of people who play together over time. Leagues host one or more contests. You can join a public league, accept an invite to a private one, or create your own.

From the Leagues page, tap Create League. Pick a name (up to 20 characters), choose public or private, and optionally add a description and image. As the creator you're automatically the league owner and admin.

Four ways: tap a public league on the Leagues page and join directly; paste an invite code on the Leagues page; open an invite link someone shared with you (phade.app/invite/CODE); or join one of the league's contests from a shared contest link, which adds you to the league automatically.

Public leagues appear in the Explore tab and anyone can join. Private leagues require an invite code or link. Switch your league's visibility from the league settings.

Open the league page and tap Leave League at the bottom. You lose access to league chat and can no longer make picks in the league's private contests, but your past picks and results stay on the standings of contests you played, and contests you joined stay viewable. You can rejoin later with an invite, or by opening one of the league's contest links and tapping Rejoin League. The league creator can't leave their own league; they can delete it instead.

By default, every league member can copy the invite code and share link. Set Share Permission to "Admins only" in league settings to hide those buttons from regular members. One thing to know: contest links also work as invites. Anyone who has a link to one of your league's contests can pass it along, and whoever joins the contest is added to the league.

They see the league name, member count and open contests before doing anything. New people are sent to sign up and come straight back to the invite afterwards; existing members get an Open league button instead of a join. Invite codes are not case sensitive.

A contest is a time-bound competition with its own date range, sports, scoring rules, and standings. Contests live inside a league, or can be standalone: public (listed in Explore, anyone can join) or private (only people with the link can join).

Public contests are listed on the Explore tab and anyone can find and join them. Private contests never appear in listings: you invite people by sharing the contest link, and anyone who opens it can view and join. You choose the visibility when creating a standalone contest. League contests are visible to league members, and their share links work for anyone: opening one lets you view and join the contest, and joining also adds you to the league.

Inside a league, tap Create Contest. For a contest with no league attached, go to Contests and tap Create Contest, then choose whether you're making a traditional contest or a survivor pool. For a contest you'll choose visibility (public or private), sports, wager types (spread / moneyline / total), scoring type (Budget or Pick'em), date range, and budget if applicable.

Open the contest page and tap Join Contest. Joining is explicit, so being a league member doesn't auto-enroll you in every contest the league runs. You'll get a notification when a new contest goes up in a league you're in. Opening a shared contest link takes you straight to the contest page to join, even if the contest is in a league you haven't joined yet: joining the contest adds you to its league automatically.

Contest creators can turn on Password Protected? when creating a contest (public or private). Anyone joining must enter the password the creator set. Get the password from whoever runs the contest, type it into the field next to Join Contest, and you're in. People already in the contest are never asked for it. Admins can change or remove the password later from Admin tools on the contest page, but no one can view the current password (it's stored securely), only replace it.

Only in Budget contests where the creator turned on Admins Can Add Budget when the contest was created. That setting cannot be changed later. Added budget lets a member wager more but does not change their profit, so standings and ranks are unaffected. Every grant appears in the Budget Adjustments list on the contest page, visible to all members, so nothing happens behind the scenes.

• Upcoming: contest hasn't started yet. Members can join and make early picks.
• Open: contest is in progress and accepting new picks. Contest days run on Eastern time and roll over at 4am ET, so a late game on your last day (Sunday or Monday night, for example) still counts.
• Grading: the end date has passed, no more picks, and the last games are being graded.
• Ended: every pick is graded and the final standings are locked.

Yes, inside a league. Toggle Recurring on the contest creation form and choose daily, weekly, or monthly. Daily and weekly series continue the day after the first contest ends; a monthly series starts on the 1st of the following month. League members are auto-joined. Recurring is league-only. Standalone contests can't recur. To end a series, open any contest in it and tap Stop Series under Admin tools (contest creator or league creator). Contests already created stay.

Only the contest creator (or league creator, for league contests) can delete a contest. From the contest page, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Contest. You'll need to type DELETE to confirm. This permanently removes all picks and standings. It can't be undone.

Yes. When NFL or college football is selected on the create form, preset buttons appear for this week and next week. They set the dates to the football week, Tuesday through Monday, so a contest covers Thursday night through Monday night. A recurring weekly series seeded from one of these keeps the same Tuesday-to-Monday rhythm.

Open the contest and tap the share icon next to the sport pills at the top. It builds an image of the standings (the top five plus your own row) that you can save or send straight to a group chat. The link icon beside it copies the contest link, which shows a preview of the contest name when pasted.

The classic football knockout game, and the creator chooses the league: NFL (18 weeks) or College Football (Week 0, the late-August openers, through rivalry week). Every week each entry picks exactly one team to win its game outright (no point spreads). You can never pick the same team twice all season. If your team loses, or you forget to pick, you take a strike, and strikes knock you out. The last entry standing wins the pool. Your survivor pools are listed on the Contests page, tagged Survivor Pool. To start one, tap Create Contest and choose Survivor Pool. A new pool can only start in a week whose first game has not kicked off yet; if the current week is already underway, the pool starts the following week.

The creator can turn on the moneyline tiebreaker when setting up a pool. Every pick then banks its team's moneyline odds at pick time (favorites are negative numbers like -240, underdogs positive like +150), and the Standings show each entry's season total in an Odds column. When entries are otherwise tied, the highest total wins, rewarding bolder picks over a season of chalk. In those pools the weekly slate always shows each team's moneyline. Creators can also show moneylines on the slate without the tiebreaker (display only) using the Show moneyline odds option.

Every pool has a Standings button in its header that opens the full board: rank, strikes, week-by-week picks with team logos (revealed once each game kicks off), win/loss coloring, and the Odds column when the pool uses the moneyline tiebreaker. A compact version of the same board also lives at the bottom of the pool page.

Open your pool, use the week arrows to find the week, and tap the team you think wins. Teams you already used are grayed out with the week you burned them. You can change your pick until the game you picked kicks off, then it locks for good. If the game you picked is postponed or canceled, that week unlocks so you can move your pick to another game in the same week while the week is still open (and you are never penalized for it). You can also pick future weeks in advance. Other entrants can't see your pick until its game starts. Miss a week entirely and it counts as a strike, so pick early.

The pool creator sets the strike count when creating the pool: 1 strike is classic (one loss and you're out), 2 strikes gives everyone a mulligan. A tie counts as a strike unless the creator enabled survive on a tie. If a game is postponed or canceled, nobody is penalized for it. The pool ends when one entry remains (or the season ends), and if the last survivors all go out in the same week they share the win. You get a notification each week telling you whether you survived, and if you haven't made your pick by Wednesday at noon Eastern, a reminder (bell, email, and push) so you don't take a missed-week strike.

Survivor pools are private and invite only. Tap Share on the pool page to copy the link; anyone with it can view the pool and join with a named entry (multiple entries per person are allowed) until the start week kicks off. The creator gets an Admin tools box on the pool page with a Payments panel (a paid toggle per entry for tracking buy-ins) and the Delete Pool button. Phade doesn't process money. This is purely record keeping.

Streak is a daily game that every Phade account is in automatically. Each day you pick one spread or one total from any game in any sport, and every correct pick adds one to your streak. There is nothing to create or join and no money involved. Open it from the menu or the Streak tab.

Tap a spread or total on any game that day, then tap Lock it in. Until that game starts you can change it (tap a different line and Replace pick) or remove it. Once the game you picked kicks off, your pick for that day is locked.

Yes. Use the day strip to open any day up to about two weeks out and lock in one pick per day. Lines usually appear a day or so before the games, so days further out may not have anything to pick yet.

A day runs from 4am Eastern to 4am Eastern the next morning, so a late West Coast game still counts for the day it started. Your pick belongs to the day its game is played, not the day you placed it.

Only a losing pick. A push (the spread or total lands exactly on the number), a voided game, and a day with no pick all leave your streak exactly where it was. Skip a day whenever you like and pick up where you left off.

A canceled game voids your pick with no change to your streak, and if the day is still open you can pick another game for it. A postponed game with a new date is graded off the make-up game; a postponed game that never gets rescheduled is voided after 30 days.

The Current board ranks everyone by their streak right now, with ties broken by best streak and then total wins. The Best Ever board ranks by the longest streak anyone has reached. Only accounts with a public profile and at least one graded pick appear, and other players' picks for today show up only once their game has started.

Only games with a posted spread or total can be picked. Books usually post football lines by Tuesday and baseball, basketball and hockey lines the day before, so check back closer to game time.

Yes. When your daily pick is graded or voided you get one notification with the new streak count. Turn it on or off with the Streak Results switch in Notification Preferences.

Once you have made your first Streak pick, you get a push reminder at 11am Eastern on any day you have not picked yet and games with lines are still to come. It is one notification a day, never an email. Turn it off with the Streak Reminder switch in Notification Preferences.

A golf pool is a tiered picking game for a tournament (starting with the majors). The field is split into tiers by betting odds, you pick a set number of golfers from each tier, and you compete on a live leaderboard as the tournament plays out. You'll find them under Golf in the nav. Golf Pools become available 1 week before a major tournament, once the field and odds are in.

Golfers are ranked by their odds to win and split into tiers, with the favorites in Tier 1. The pool creator chooses how many tiers there are and how many golfers go in each; the last tier is everyone else in the field. You pick the same number from every tier (the default is 2 from each of 5 tiers, so 10 golfers total).

Scoring is to-par, and only your best picks count (the default is your best 8 of 10), so a couple of bad picks get dropped. A golfer who misses the cut or withdraws is given a penalty score. Lowest total wins, and if there's a tie, the tiebreaker you chose (the winner's final score) breaks it.

Open a pool, tap Add entry, name your team, pick your golfers from each tier, and submit. You can enter more than once. You can edit any of your entries with the Edit entry button until the pool's lock time (the creator sets this, normally the first tee); after that, picks are locked.

Before the tournament starts, the leaderboard shows only team names, so nobody can copy picks. The moment the first group tees off, every lineup becomes visible along with live to-par and a hole-by-hole scorecard for each golfer. You can also search the leaderboard by team name or golfer to jump straight to an entry.

Yes. Golf pools are private and invite-only, so they're never listed publicly. To invite people, use the Share button (on the Golf pools list or on the pool itself) to copy the pool's invite link, then send it to whoever you want in. Anyone with the link can open the pool and enter.

Tap Create pool under Golf, choose the tournament, name it, and set your format (number of tiers, picks per tier, how many scores count, and whether to hide the betting odds from players). You also set when entries close. A pool locks 30 minutes before the tournament's first tee time once that is set; otherwise it locks at the time you choose (defaulting to the tournament start). Lineups stay hidden until lock. Only the creator can change a pool, and the creator can delete it any time from the pool page with the Delete button (that removes every entry and can't be undone).

Yes. When every golfer finishes a round, everyone in the pool gets a nudge to come check the leaderboard, plus one when the tournament goes final. You can turn these off under Settings, Notifications (look for Golf Round Complete).

Yes. Tap the star next to any entry on the pool leaderboard to favorite it, then switch to the Favorites tab to see just the entries you starred. Favorites are saved to your account, so they carry across your phone, tablet, and computer. Tap the star again to remove one.

Phade does not handle any money. If your pool has a buy-in, you collect it however you like (cash, Venmo, and so on). The pool creator gets a private Payments list on the pool page to check off who has paid and who hasn't. Only the creator sees it.

On the contest page, tap Make Picks. Browse games, tap a bet cell (spread, moneyline, or total) to add it to your pick slip, set the wager amount in budget contests, and submit. You can build your slip across multiple games before submitting. Picks in your slip do not count until you press Submit: the slip shows a Not Submitted badge to remind you, and the app asks you to confirm before you navigate away with unsubmitted picks. If you do leave, your staged picks are saved on this device and restored the next time you open the page, but any whose games already started are dropped.

Games are shown one week at a time in a day strip. Tap a day to see its games, or Week to see the whole week. The arrows move a week at a time and the calendar button jumps to any date in the contest. The number under a day is how many games are still open there, and games that have already kicked off drop off the list. A contest made only of NFL and/or college football runs Tuesday through Monday, so Sunday's games and Monday night stay together; a contest with any other sport runs Monday through Sunday.

If the final score lands exactly on your spread or total, the pick is a push: not a win, not a loss. In budget contests your wager comes back to you. A tied game is a push on the moneyline as well. Pushes never affect your streak, and every pick is graded against the line you locked in when you submitted, not the number the book shows later.

American odds. -110 means you risk $110 to win $100 (or any 11:10 ratio). A +150 underdog pays $150 on a $100 wager. Spreads and totals default to -110 if a book hasn't posted juice. The line and odds at the moment you submit are locked into the pick, even if the book moves later.

Yes. From mid July until the week before Week 1, Phade pulls preseason spreads, totals and moneylines alongside the regular season lines, so August games in an NFL contest are pickable like any other. Books post preseason lines closer to kickoff than regular season games (usually within the same week), so a game a week or more out may show no line yet. Lines refresh a few times a day.

You can edit the wager amount or cancel a pick any time before the game locks (kickoff/tipoff). Once the game starts, picks are frozen and graded automatically when the game finishes. Edit and Cancel buttons live on your pick rows in the standings panel and on your Picks page.

Right at scheduled kickoff. A pick that's in your slip but unsubmitted at lock time is dropped, and the page tells you if that happens. Your slip is saved on this device between visits, but only submitted picks count. After lock, picks become visible to everyone in the contest.

To keep things fair, picks stay hidden until the game locks. That includes wager amounts: money riding on games that have not started is left out of the Wagered and Budget Left numbers other players see in standings, so nobody can tell how much you have bet until your games lock. Once a game kicks off, everyone's picks on it become visible from the standings panel and the totals update. The Contest Feed on the contest page also lists every pick (with wager amounts in Budget contests) as its game locks.

Postponed games are detected automatically. If the game gets a make-up date inside the contest window, your pick carries over and grades against the make-up game. If the game is canceled outright (or never rescheduled), your picks on it are voided: they stay in your picks list marked Voided, and the wagers go back to your budget. You'll get a notification either way.

Some contests set a daily pick limit (e.g. 3 picks per day). The limit counts picks per game day: a pick on Sunday's games counts against Sunday even if you place it on Tuesday. Game days run on Eastern time and roll over at 4am ET, so late games belong to the day they started on.

Books release lines on their own schedule: football lines usually post by Tuesday, baseball the day before, and a game with no line cannot be picked yet. The picks page tells you when games are on the schedule but unpriced, and you can show the schedule anyway to see what is coming. Lines refresh several times a day, and the first contest created for a sport triggers a fetch right away.

For each graded pick, profit = (payout) − (wager) for wins, − (wager) for losses, and 0 for pushes. Your contest profit is the sum of those. Budget remaining = starting budget − wagers locked on pending picks. The standings table shows profit, total wagered, and budget left.

Each correct pick is +1 point regardless of odds. Pushes (e.g. landing exactly on the spread) are 0. Final ranking is by total points, with ties broken by best win streak.

When setting up a contest, the creator can turn on All Spreads Are Even Money, All Totals Are Even Money, or both. A flagged bet type then pays 1 to 1: win a $50 wager and you profit $50, no matter what the sportsbook juice was. Because the odds never matter for those bets, no odds figure is shown on them. Bet types without the option (moneyline always, plus any type left unflagged) still use the real odds.

A push is a tie against the line. A team favored by exactly 7 that wins by exactly 7 pushes the spread. Pushes refund your wager (in budget contests) and award 0 points (in pick'em).

In Budget contests, ranking is by total profit, not raw wins. A player who won fewer but bigger underdog picks can outrank a player who won lots of small favorites. In Pick'em, ranking is purely by points.

Phade tracks win streaks, total picks made, first place finishes, perfect weeks, and 100%+ ROI runs. Streak has its own set of badges for reaching a streak of 5, 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50. Earned badges live on your achievements wall and you'll get a notification when you unlock one.

Yes. The dropdown next to the "Dashboard" heading filters your Total Picks, Wins, Losses, and Win Rate by when the games were played: Today, Last 7 / 30 / 90 days, All time, or a custom date range you choose. It only changes the four stat cards, the rest of the dashboard stays the same.

A green up arrow or red down arrow shows how many places you moved since the last time the standings changed. Your own row is highlighted. The Consensus card under the standings shows how the contest split on each game once it locked, per bet type, with the winning side in green. Picks on games that have not started stay hidden.

• The league creator and any league admins they promote.
• The contest creator.
• Contest-specific admins promoted by the contest creator.
• League admins inherit admin status on all contests inside that league.

Open the contest, expand the Admin Tools card on the contest page, and tap Manage Admins (only visible to the contest creator). Toggle the switch next to a member's name. The creator slot is permanent. League-level admin roles were retired. Any league member can create contests now, so promotions only happen at the contest scope.

Manage Games lives inside the Admin Tools card on the contest page (visible to the contest creator and league creator). It lists every game in the contest's date range and lets you exclude games from the contest, one at a time or in bulk: the Disable All button beside the sport filter targets the whole contest, and each sport (and each week for NFL and NCAAF, which are grouped into collapsible weeks) has its own Enable and Disable buttons. Disabling a game cancels any pending picks on it and refunds those wagers in budget contests. Once a game has started you can't disable it anymore. The action shows as Locked. Disabled games can be re-enabled at any time.

Track Payment is an offline ledger for contests that have a real-world buy-in. From the contest page, expand Admin Tools and tap Track Payment to open a list of every contestant with a toggle so any contest admin can mark who has and hasn't paid their dues. Phade doesn't process money. This is purely a record-keeping tool.

From the contest page, expand Admin Tools and tap Contest Password (visible to contest admins). You can set a password on a contest that never had one, replace the current password, or remove protection entirely. Passwords are stored securely, so there is no way to view the current one. If it's lost, just set a new one and share it again. People already in the contest are unaffected by password changes.

From the contest page, expand Admin Tools and tap Remove Members (visible to contest admins). Pick the member, then confirm. Removal deletes their picks and their row in the standings for that contest, and it cannot be undone. The contest creator can never be removed. If the contest has a password, a removed member would need it (plus access to the contest) to rejoin.

In a Budget contest created with the Admins Can Add Budget option turned on, any contest admin can add budget to any member while the contest is running, not just players who have run out. From the contest page, expand Admin Tools and tap Add Budget, pick a member, and enter an amount up to the contest's starting budget per grant. Every grant is recorded in the Budget Adjustments list on the contest page, visible to all members, and the recipient gets a notification. Added budget never counts as profit, so standings and ranks are unaffected.

Yes. The league creator can edit the league name, image, and share permission. Contest creators (and league creators on league contests) can edit contest name and share permission. Sports, scoring type, and date range are locked once a contest is created, and so is the Admins Can Add Budget option on Budget contests. To change those, delete and recreate.

Yes, until it ends. Open Admin tools on the contest page and tap Edit Dates & Sports. Picks already made are kept; games outside the new dates or sports simply stop showing on the board. Adding a sport pulls its schedule in the background; lines show up with the next odds update.

Admin tools on the contest page has an Export CSV tile. It downloads the standings (rank, record, profit or points, wagered, budget left) as a spreadsheet file, handy for payouts or league records.

• Someone @-mentions you in chat.
• A contest you're in is starting soon or has ended.
• A new contest was created in a league you're in.
• You unlock an achievement.
• Your picks were graded after a game finishes (or were voided / refunded for a postponed or cancelled game).
• A contest admin adds budget to your balance in a Budget contest.
• Someone follows you.

Pick your channels at sign-up (Email and/or Push) or change them anytime in notification preferences. Phade has two delivery channels: Push covers the in-app bell and OS push together, and Email is its own channel. Each channel has a master switch and a per-type mute matrix, so you can keep mentions and pick-graded on, mute everything else, and never see a duplicate. SMS is only used to verify your phone number with Clerk; we don't send notifications over SMS.

Yes. If you use the Phade app from the App Store or Google Play, allow notifications when the app asks and you are set. On the web, push needs one setup step: on iPhone, first add Phade to your Home Screen (Share, then "Add to Home Screen") and open it from there. Then go to notification preferences and turn the Push channel on. Your phone will ask for permission. Allow it, and that device is subscribed. If you blocked the prompt, re-enable notifications for phade.app in your browser or phone settings, then toggle Push on again.

Turn on Weekly recap email under Notification Preferences. Every Tuesday morning you get your record and profit for the week, your best pick, and where you stand in each open contest. It uses the Email channel, so email notifications must be on too.

Occasional news from the Phade team (new features, season notes). They have their own switch under Notification Preferences, separate from mentions, so you can mute one without the other.

Every chat message and feed comment has a small flag icon, and every profile has Report and Block buttons. Report sends the item to the Phade team for review (pick a reason, add details if you like). Block hides that person's chat messages, feed posts and comments from you and removes any follows between you; they are not told. Unblock from their profile at any time.

Open your profile and tap Edit. Handle (username) must be unique across Phade. Display name is whatever you want shown on standings and the feed.

Phade uses the avatar from your Clerk account. Upload a new image from your account settings; it syncs back into Phade automatically on your next sign-in. Or update it in the profile editor.

From your profile, scroll to Delete Account. This is a hard delete: your picks, standings, follows, and notifications are removed permanently. If you're the only owner of a league, that league and all its contests are deleted too. Otherwise the next admin (or oldest member) is promoted to owner.

Yes. Open your profile and turn off the Public profile switch. When your profile is private, other people who open it see only your name and avatar plus a note that it's private. Your stats, ROI, streaks, activity, and achievements stay hidden, you don't appear in user search or on the platform leaderboard, and your activity stops showing in other people's following feed. Your picks and standings inside a league or contest are still visible to that group, since those are shared by design. Note that leaderboard removal can take up to a day to take effect.
